no i mean made by IBM not Lenovo

They were all made by Lenovo, starting from a long time ago. I think that the X41 Tablet was the first X-series laptop released after the sale was announced, so that would make either X40 or X41.

Indeed. I remember that the T43 that I used to own had a Lenovo sticker on the bottom, even though it was supposed to be the last T-series made by IBM.

x40 should be the last x series made by IBM. cause i remember i bought mine 2 months before lenovo took over, and then in september x41 was launched.
