x40 and SDHC

hello there,

so, i wonder if the new version of ThinkPad SD storage and standard host controller bus driver 6.0.4050.1 Release Date: 2007/03/14 would allow me to use a SDHC card into x40's SD reader.
if not, can anyone recommend reader which i could insert it in the pcmia slot with a good reading speed? (i dont care of the writing speed, that's camera's job)
