I am a pretty tall guy, 6 foot 3, and in order to use my X40 in my lap I have to tilt the screen back a lot.
I want to know is this safe for the cable that runs from the TP to the LCD?
I do not want this thing prematurly dying on me in 2 years just because of that lcd cable. I do not want to deal with the bullshits of having it sent to IBM for them to fix it.
My baby is only 2 months old and I would like to know, should I continue such behavior or cease it immediatly?

well, I know that the maximum "recommended" angle is 135 degrees, so it really depends how far you push it back. I personally have put my lappy screen all the way to 160 or 170 degrees on my old i Series, and no problems. As for my X40 however, I just place at about 110 degrees. HOpe this helps.
