Hello,
I use an external LCD widescreen panel for presentations at work - but the x41 only allows me to use xvga resolutions. How do you access wvga resolutions? The chipset should be able to handle it.

You have to get new, non-IBM drivers from Intel. The IBM drivers (at least on my X31) don't support widescreen resolutions; the Intel versions do. I'm still working on getting my external LCD to work at it's (slightly oddball) native resolution of 1440x900, but with the Intel drivers I am running the display at widescreen.
