New X22 Owner

#1 Post by TomKroscavage » Sat May 19, 2007 1:57 pm

Hi. I just bought a X22 2662 for work related travel. I own three T23s. I would like to know what is the maximum upgrades for this model are. I already have a 7K100 hard drive and one stick of 256mb pc133 memory. Can the CPU or motherboard be upgraded? My main use will be wifi webcam with my wife and boy.

Any advice for a new X22 owner will be appreciated setup tip, hardware, websites, Ect..

Congratulations on the purchase. The X22 is a stunningly beautiful laptop. The easiest upgrade would be to replace the 256MB stick with a 512MB stick. Including the 128MB onboard memory, you'd get a total of 640MB.

As pianowizard said, you could upgrade the RAM, but that's it. Nothing else in the X22 is upgradeable unless you wanted to put a mPCI wifi card in the machine.

X22 is very sexy machine, I love X2x and X3x machines.

You'll adore the machine.
"I've come a long, long way," she said, "and I will go as far,
With the man who takes me from my horse, and leads me to a bar."
The man who took her off her steed, and stood her to a beer,
Were a bleary-eyed Surveyor and a DRUNKEN ENGINEER.
