Changing "integrated" XP on a x31

#1 Post by soylentgreen » Sun Oct 10, 2004 8:03 am

I bought a secondhand x31 from overseas and the version of the integrated XP is in a language I don't understand. Is it possible to change the version of XP to one in english? And if so, then how? and is it also possible to keep all the extra IBM software and plugins for windows?

There are LIPs (Language Interface Pack) for some languages but these are usually for localisations other than english. I haven't heard of English LIP for Windows.

If you do reinstall Windows you can just as well download all the drivers and utilities separately from http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... MIGR-43800

well, you might be able to get the recovery cd's for a modes fee from IBM or someone here... on the legality issue I am not sure... or just download the drivers from tpdrivers.com as the above post suggested.
