X40 - Which RAM-Module?

#1 Post by beta3 » Fri Oct 15, 2004 10:00 am

Hi

Next I will get my X40 (after 2 weeks waiting) and i will need more RAM

SoDimm 200pin DDR333 1GB

Does anyone know a reliable vendor, which is not to expensive?

And is it true, that i can't boot from a non-IBM external DVD/CD-Drive? (i've read rumours about this for older IBM ThinkPads)

Regards,
Peter

you should be able to boot from any USB Cd-ROM; at least htis was true with the X30 and X31...I don't have an X40 yet...but I'm placing an order with Bill for one.

Recent discussion about upgrade RAM modules, etc. for X40:

I am probably going to go with a Mushkin 1GB module.
