x41t tablet buttons screen rotation not working

#1 Post by Kingsley » Fri Jul 06, 2007 11:01 am

Hello All

The four main tablet buttons, the "ctrl, alt, del" button and the scroll button near the finger print reader on my x41t have all of a sudden stopped working. Additionally when I rotate the screen, it does not automatically rotate the perspective and when I close the computer it no longer goes into stand by as it is programmed to do.

The finger print reader and the power button on the screen are still working. I am able to get the screen perspective to rotate if I use the Intel Graphics manual software application. I can also get the computer to stand by using the Fn + F4 combination.

I have reinstalled both the tablet button driver as well as the tablet shortcut driver.

The most recent software I installed was the new MS Office 2007 system, but that was a week ago and all has seemed fine.

I suspect it may be a hardware problem - ie wires have come loose. However any thoughts would be greatly appreciated before I take it into the service man. I have searched the forum but not been able to find anything that fixes the problem.

Thank you in advance.
Best regards,
Kingsley Bowles
