x31 and 12" zeroshock (shinza.com) bag

#1 Post by leesiulung » Tue Oct 19, 2004 1:40 am

I am looking for a 3 side zippered or enclosure bag... that I can use the laptop without taking it out of the bag. I was thinking of the zeroshock sleeve, but nobody have given me a good feedback on the fit with a x31.

So if anyone have one of these, what is the fit? Does it fit like a glove or does it have plenty of room? Will it slide around inside the sleeve? Is it possible that the laptop can hit the zipper and get scratched up?

In advance, thanks to everybody that replies! :)

Hi,

I hope I can be of some help. I have had my new X31 and 12" Zeroshock for a little over two weeks now. The case alone is fun to play with and very classy looking. As far as compatibility with the X31, I am very happy with that as well. The fit is definitely not like a glove; I would say with the case closed and the TP all the way to the left, there is almost an inch of empty space to the right. That being said, I would not worry about the TP sliding around in the case, especially not in a backpack which is my situation. The zipper should not give you any problems; there is a thick roll of fabric around the perimeter of the inside of the case which keeps the zipper away from the TP. I took a few pictures in case you are interested. If so, let me know along with suggestions as to how I could get them to you; I am quite inexperienced in this area. Hope this helps.

This doesn't directly answer your question, but I use a Booq bag intented for a 12" ibook and it fits perfect! very happy with it also. Its a bit thick for a sleve, but the bonus is that you can use it as a standalone bag also! I would recomend it if you don't nee to cary any accesories.
