ThinkVantage Productivity Center for X31 ??

#1 Post by Jason404 » Thu Jul 26, 2007 1:54 am

For some time I have felt that I might have some software missing on my Thinkpad X31.

I have no Wireless/Bluetooth window, where I can choose to disable either to save battery power, even though I have seen screenshots of this.

Also, nothing happens when I press the Access IBM button while logged into Windows.

Is it this ThinkVantage Productivity Center that I am missing? Is this available for the X31 and where can I download it?

Cheers

Do Fn+F5 and Fn+F7 work? If not, I think it's the hotkey driver that you need.

Thanks, but I have installed that. The blue functions on the keys work, and so do the volume buttons.

But the Acces IBM still does nothing.

Is the ThinkVantage Productivity Center available for the X31?

Productivity Centre is not technically available for the X31. It does however, work perfectly well on the X31.

For PD to be useful, you need to have Access connections and the like for it to hook into.

In the end its a huge shortcut bar if you will. Nice to have but by no means vital.

Your missing software can be found by going to http://www.lenovo.com then on the Support and Downloads page. Enter your X31s details then it will give you a list of software for it. My recomendation would be to install System update 3 and Software installer. these two programs will download and install most items you are missing.

PS

PD can bre found in the T60 section as well as several other newer models

Hope this helps.
