IBM X40 Shipped direct from China???

I was pretty excited to see my 2382HCU X40 status changed from 11/08/04 to shipped; that is until I clicked on track my order: My laptop had just left ShangHai, China early this morning. Hm, I always thought IBM was made in the states; which makes me worry a bit. Maybe it is nothing, propably half if not all of the US laptops are made overseas these days anyway. I would of perfered if my brand new laptop didn't have to survive that long of a trip to get to my door and be in Chinese by accident; but again it is a X40, hopefully no worries there. Let me know what your thoughts are. Maybe it isn't made in China, but shipped from China which begs more questions.

You have nothing to worry about, the engineering/construction is of the finest quality in these machines. I tracked my shipment directly from Hong Kong as well, and though I paid for normal ground shipping it arrived 2 days after shipment! I calculated the time it took to come from Hong Kong to Minneapolis at about 36 hours total. My friend here ordered a T series and he had the exact same experience.
