X22 DVD Decoder

Not long ago I bought an X22 off of Ebay. It has been one of the best purchases I ever made. I truly could not be happier.

I do have a question regarding the Hitachi DVD-ROM GD S200 that came with the media slice. When I try to run a DVD, I get the message, "Windows Media Player cannot play this DVD because a compatible DVD decoder is not installed on your computer." What do I need to do to play a DVD?

In device manager I notice there was no region assinged. I chose the United States, but this didn't fix my problem.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Windows Media Player doesn't come with DVD decoder. You need to install a DVD player (InterVideo WinDVD, CyberLink PowerDVD etc). These players include the DVD decoder. After you install a DVD player, Media Player will also play DVD's.
