What is "Digital Line Detect" Programme in X40?

#1 Post by chintapun » Mon Oct 25, 2004 9:35 pm

I have found Digital Line Detector program preinstalled in startup folder of win XP Pro. Could anyone tell me what is this program? Should I delete it from startup folder?

Thank you

From memory, it has something to do with the modem. I remember deleting it almost within the first 24hrs of owning my machine, and my modem functioned fine without it. Do a search on google - i think that's what i did.

It will check the phone line you pluged in to your Thinkpad to make sure it is not a digital line that could harm your modem.

I usually trash it.
