I bought an X31 about a year ago. It has been great until the backlight went bad on the LCD. I bought a new LCD and it worked fine for about two off/on cycles, now I get 3 sets of 4 short beeps. The repair manual says "security chip". Does anyone know what this means and what I can do to fix it besides buy a new MB? Does anyone know how a failure like this would suddenly start happening? I can't find anything in the manuals about this little monster.
I would like to add, if you know anything about how the security chip is supposed to work or is set up in the X31. Please tell me. If you know any other abbreviations beside TCPA. I am having a real time just searching. Any ideas at all
