X30, Ultrabase X3 and serial port

#1 Post by automatic_jack » Sun Aug 19, 2007 9:59 am

Hi all,

my X30 has no serial port...if I buy - ok, I have to find it before :) - an Ultrabase X3 that has a passthrough serial port (DB9-M), does it work?

Thanks and sorry for my poor English

Great, thanks :)

Here more info ;)

Current ThinkPads no longer have a physical serial port, but still have the logic integrated, all that is required is to attach the ThinkPad to a supported Dock or Port Replicator with a serial port.

ThinkPads produced from 1994 onwards have a NS16550A compatible uart.

X30 has a NS PC87392 logic integrated

Regards :)
