Resolution on x20

#1 Post by edvan22 » Tue Nov 02, 2004 9:33 pm

I have installed the drivers for my x20 2662 12u running on 98 and I can only get the system running at 800x600. I thought it could get 1024x768 out of it. Any ideas?

THanks!

Try doing the Video driver, Supplement files, and Monitor files again. Be sure to follow all instructions.

Hi, I just did the monitor files and I finally got the 1024x768 option to show up but when I go to configure it, It makes the desktop bigger but I have to scroll the cursor around to see it. The display still does not get any "smaller".

Under resolution there's an Advanced button, go there and play around. Also, the font size in the Appearance tab may make a difference. I'd still try the video drivers and perhaps the supplement files, heck, do the Monitor again if need be.

ThinkPad X20, 2662-12U
Celeron 500MHz (128KB) 64MB RAM 10.0 GB 12.1 SVGA TFT 800x600, Modem, Win2000

You are only going to get 800x600 - that is the native resolution of the panel.

PowerStrip gave my X20 a max res of 1600x1200 but I don't have a 12U.

Doh, I was afraid of that. Oh well it's still a great little machine.

Yeah, but not on the computer's TFT screen in the lid. More than the native resolution of the screen can only be displayed as a virtual desktop.
