Adjusting RAM timings on X21

#1 Post by Terrahawk » Wed Oct 17, 2007 4:12 pm

Hi there,

Has anyone had any success changing the CAS latency setting on an X21? I have managed to do it on my old X20 (it hung instantly so I didn't go any further) but on my X21, it simply refuses to change from CL=3.0 to CL=2.0. I am using the RightMark Memory Analyzer to do this, since it seems there is nothing else out there that can do it from XP. There is a program called agp_info that works for Windows 98 but I can't make it work under XP.

Alternatively, what else can I use to fiddle the timings? I'm just curious to see if the onboard RAM can handle CL2 timings since my 256MB SO-DIMM certainly can.
Geoff.
