X21 recovery partition?

#1 Post by Terrahawk » Fri Oct 26, 2007 7:08 pm

Hi everyone,

Did the X21 come with a recovery partition, and if it did, how would I install it onto a hard drive? My X21 has a Windows 98 COA so I guess I would like a matching recovery partition.

Yes, it came with disk-to-disk hard disk-based recovery solution, a primary hidden partition, called a “service partition.” You'll need Product Recovery disks to install it. CDs for operating systems prior to Windows XP are no longer available to purchase from IBM, you'll need to request them from someone.
