Quick question on the X3 media slice battery slot?

#1 Post by SaberX » Sun Nov 11, 2007 10:25 am

I have an X30 with a main battery in it. Then i have the X3 media slice with another battery in the bottom of it.
Now with the X30 in the base it's charging both batterys.

My question is will the battery in the X3 base keep charging without the laptop in the medis slice? The AC adapter is pluged into the base, just no laptop docked into it.

Reason i'm asking is i draned the two batterys last night to see how long i could get with the almost new mail battery in the X30.And another(half good) main battery in the X3 media slice.
I got about 4:30 hr's watching Divx movies from the hard drive.Thats with the LCD on high and ,the cd-rw/drd in,and wireless going with e-mail and MSN messanger running in the background.

Now the battery in the media slice been draned to 0% and now it's saying it will take about 10 hr's to fully charge it.
I just dont want to leave the X30 running for that long just to charge the battery.

I'm pretty sure you have to have the laptop in the base in order to charge. The X31 doesn't need to be "on". Leave them in over night to charge, though 10 hrs does sound like a longtime, I don't think it should take that long.
