When do you guys think the X61s will be replaced?

I'm just wondering because my 60GB Hard drive 1.8 (with the irritating clicking noise fro Hitachi HD), is coming full, and I would like to have more graphics memory.

My idea setting would be an "X40" plus 250GB hard drive compatible(2.5 if needed) and at least 80MB of video ram, and Core 2 Duo .. coming still at 2.9 lb.
Feb 2008=Thinkpad X61s; 2x faster than X40 but not as asthetic.
Dec 2005=Thinkpad X40; perfect, but bigger than 240x.
Jan 2005=Thinkpad 240x; used; fast but dead pixels doomed it.
2003=Thinkpad 240; used,
1998=new Toshiba Tecra 740CDT. Pricey, heavy & last 5 year.

If you could clear up some of those ambiguous statements and confusing sentences, I might be able to help you out.

It sounds like the current X61s already has a tick in every box :)

As for updates and replacements, I wouldn't expect it to happen for at least a month or two after Intel release their latest "next generation" laptop CPU/chipset platform. And even then, it could just be a minor bump (like X60 to X61) or a whole redesign (like T60 to T61) ... we just don't know what Lenovo has in store.

Do the X60 or X61's have the IBM logo on them?

Or did the X40's already start having the Lenovo sticker on them?

I think the OP has an X40 with a 1.8" 60GB hard drive, and it's getting full. S/he wants a new X series that's as light as the X40 but for some reason the X61s doesn't suit her/his needs, so s/he wants to know when the next X-series model will come out.
