Upgrading to Wireless B/G on my X31 (Where to Get Drivers?)

#1 Post by Mr.Marui » Tue Nov 13, 2007 4:50 am

Hey guys, I bought a 2200 Intel B/G card IBM branded for my x31. FRU 93P3483

I installed it, booted her up no problem and then the new hardware wizard came up.

I ignored it and went ahead to extract the IBM driver for windows xp and it says it finished installing fairly quickly.

I then rebooted, but upon loading it says that it still can't recognize the new hardware.

It keeps coming up with that "New Hardware" wizard.

I'm not sure what to do, this is the page I went to to download the drivers.

Thanks

Just get the drivers from the Intel.com site. It might keep giving you the "new hardware" prompt - in which case you'll have to enter "DEVICE MANAGER", find the card under network devices, then manually locate the driver to whichever folder you decided to install it.
