Battery bottom for X41 Tablet

#1 Post by Nicolai » Wed Nov 14, 2007 5:25 am

Hi,
Does anyone actually have (or know where to find) pictures of the X41 with and without the bottom battery attached? I'm very interested in how it actually looks, compared to eachother.
Also, how much time does it add to your battery life in reality?

I am not sure I understand what you are asking???

The x41 tablet does not have an expansion bay - it only has the one location for a battery - located on the backside of the machine.

As to how much power you get with or without the battery attached???

- w/o = none - unless you are on AC power
- with = depends on what size battery and how old the battery is.
The 4-cell are lighter, but give less work time compared to the 8-cell

As to pics - sorry - but right now I dont even have my tablet with me (in the shop) - you can find decent pictures on ebay - 8-cells are always on sale.

I was thinking of this battery:
http://www5.pc.ibm.com/europe/products. ... p/_92P1006
It connects to the bottom of the computer (like the ultrabase) and works as an extra battery, combined with the std 4/8 cell battery (if i understand correctly).
Can this not be mounted on the tablet version?
