X31 Adapter

#1 Post by jrhuggins » Tue Nov 20, 2007 6:02 am

Anyone know of a smaller, lightweight adapter that will power an X31? The standard one weighs nearly as much as the laptop.

Cheers

Not knowing which power adapter you have, I would recommend getting hold of the 62W adapter, it weighs the least of all the adapters. You can find the order numbers here. (Tip: scroll down to the bottom).
T61p 6460-67G; 15,4 WSXGA+ W7P x64, no hairdryer.
T43p 2668-G2G, 14,1 SXGA+, XP Pro, internal hairdryer
T23 2647-9LG, 14,1 SXGA+, XP Pro, no hairdryer

Adapters like bricks

It seems the reason these adapters are so clunky is that they would burn out. It's marginal what you can save without the unit being vulnerable.

The X31 I had used the 16V 3.5A AC adapter, FRU 02K6814. It's the smallest AC adapter I've ever seen. It can't weight more than a few ounces. What's the FRU number of yours?
