X31 arrived from tpworld!

#1 Post by grinder_z20 » Wed Dec 19, 2007 9:38 am

At last I've got it :D

It was sold as S-claim at the <t.p.world> site for 409$, then bought by a Russian living in Florida, roughly checked :) and sent to me via USPS. I spent 3 weeks waiting and checking the track number, but here it is.

Yes, it looks like new to me too, as I wrote in IBM Factory Refurbished Units - Safe to buy?, though I noticed very slight wear marks around the lock socket and rubbery coating worn off the corners... but the screen, the keyboard and stickers are perfect.

The battery was made in Feb 2005 and first used in Nov. 2007  Full charge capacity equals Design capacity and is 51.83 Wh... Don't know if that's the way to check the real battery capacity though))

Anyway, I'm quite satisfied with the buy :P

Congratulations. I'm glad to hear that you got lucky. I bought my first R50p from Thinkpadworld and wasn't as lucky.

Just got a new X41 from them and they have been wonderful for me. While they claimed that IBM direct shipped to them - when it should have went to me instead - they did overnight the package to me when they got it and it has had no issues. The battery and keyboard I got replaced by them for new parts and they are on the way.

I am very happy. The unit was even stated as having only a 90 day IBM Global Finance warranty and turns out they understated it. It has a 1 YEAR IBM EASYSERV WARRANTY still in place! HA! Plus a 3 year MACK that starts after that. I think I got a great deal for $760. My X41 came with an Ultrabase and 9 cell battery, to boot.

Good sellers, them TPWORLD people.
