Hi All,
I've been living with an x20 that wakes from sleep the first time, but never the second time. Just recently I happened across a second x20, but it doesn't suffer the same problem.
Both machines were XP SP2, fresh installs, with and without the IBM software. The difference seemed to be that the second x20 was on BIOS v1.05 - the original BIOS. I updated my first x20 to v2.25.
I thought I'd try to track it down some more, but it seems that the BIOS Embedded Controller version is linked the BIOS version. Unfortunately, the Lenovo support site doesn't have v1.10 of the Controller, nor v1.05 of the BIOS.
Does anyone know where I might be able to find this older stuff?
Thanks.

I noticed it does go back to BIOS ver.1.14 though if you go here. I tried accessing Lenovo's ftp site but it won't let me see what's in the /mobiles directory. I tried.
R50/52, X20/21/23/24, T23/42/43, 240X, 570, 570E, 770X, 4 760's. + MAC's & SUN's
x20 wake bios
Well, I got the oldest bios I could get on the IBM site and went through a bunch of hoops to figure it out, but I was able to use the flasher app in the disk image to make a back up of the 1.05 bios.
I flashed a newer version of the BIOS in and was able to return the machine to the 1.05 bios later. Yay!
Now onto the Embedded Controller. Does anyone have an info on this thing, other than the Lenovo software links. I ran the 1.36 flash against my most updated laptop. Unfortunately, unlike the BIOS update, there doesn't seem to be a backup option. You can't undo it. I've got v1.09 of the EC, but the oldest version available is 1.29.
Any ideas? Anyone?
