3-cell battery life

just got an x40 from ebay configured with 1ghz ,512 ram, 20gb hd and the seemingly super rare 3- cell battery. with the unit idling i've hit a maximum of around 45 mins run time. is there a hidden faq/lenovo link to find out what i should be getting ? also will a hard drive from an x41 tablet fift the x40? looking to upgrade the tiny hd thanks in advance guys

There should be a section in the IBM power app that shows how worn the battery is, percentagewise.
