Which kind of Firewire IEEE1394 Cable For X31?

#1 Post by epu » Sun Feb 24, 2008 11:01 pm

I bought an OWC drive to use for audio recording with my X31 on teh go and it came with a large (I'm guessing Standard though) Firewire Cable to which the X31 has a super small connector?

Any idea what this type of cable is called? Is it just mini firewire? It's 4 pin on both sides (the drive is 4 pin capable).

The 'standard' size is typically referred to as 6-pin firewire, while the smaller one laptops typically have (including the X31) is 4-pin firewire.
