X41t battery 8cell problem

I sold my x41t on ebay, and shipped it out in an large box with the battery outside the x41t and into the box.
The problem is that the battery is dead, or it's nor charging. Very weird, does anybody know what the problem is?

i tested the battery that was send back to me with an multi charger....And the light keeps on blinking.....
