#1 Post by genejo » Thu Mar 20, 2008 1:29 am

i'd like to upgrade the 40gb 4200rpm hard drive in my x30 with a 7200 rpm drive. is this drive compatible?

80gb seagate momentus 7200.1
Internal 2.5" Serial ATA/150

http://www.seagate.com/ww/v/index.jsp?v ... cale=en-US

does anyone have any sugestions for compatible 7200rpm drives? what should i be looking for when searching for compatible drives? any help is appreciated, thanks!
X30: 1.2ghz, 512mb, 40gb hdd, small crack in case =(

You can't use a SATA drive in X31, you need a PATA aka IDE or ATA-6 HDD.
