x24 and Widescreen Monitor

#1 Post by faberryman » Sun Mar 30, 2008 2:39 pm

I would like to use my X24 with a 17" widescreen monitor that has a native resolution of 1440 x 900. Are there any video drivers which will support that resolution, and if so, where can I find them. Thanks.

No worries there, I used my X23 with my 19" widscreen (1440x900) and original ATI M6 drivers worked good.

That's odd. I just downloaded and installed the latest video drivers from the IBM website and 1440x900 is not one of the options in List All Modes. The driver version says 6.13.10.6278. What am I missing?

Have you hooked up the 17" monitor? Hook it up, restart the 24, and try again. You may also need to update the driver for the external monitor.

Ah! Hooking up the monitor did it. Thanks.
