IBM Bluetooth III/Modem Card No Longer Available?

#1 Post by whickman » Tue Dec 07, 2004 2:49 pm

I was looking over this discussion thread http://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.ph ... =bluetooth and went to IBM's site to look for these three Bluetooth parts for an x40 upgrade:

LCD icon plates: 13N5330
Bluetooth Antenna Cable Set: 13N5329
CDC Bluetooth III/Modem Card (BMDC2): 91P7319

The first two were still available fro IBM. I could not find the third part, the CDC Bluetooth III/Modem Card 91P7319. It was listed through Froogle with two online non-IBM retailers.

Did IBM replace this Bluetooth/Modem Card with another part? Or will the original part 91P7319 still work OK on an x40 upgrade?

Somewhere else on this board, I read that if you call and ask for that part number, you can still order it. Then again, I haven't tried this myself, so I'm not sure.

I actually bought the 91P7319 from IBM, and realized that I needed the 91P7315. If you want it, you can buy it from me what I paid for it, plus shipping, which is a heck of a lot cheaper than what IBM charges. (312) 371-2264 or psoriano@ameritech.net...feel free to contact me anytime.

If I may ask, why did you need the 91P7315 instead of the 91P7319? Do you not have an X40? Or do X40s need different CDCs?
