I bought Logitech MX900 Bluetooth Mouse But ?

I can not use with my x40 Bluetooth machine


in the box :

mouse
Bluetooth Hub
AC Adapter
2 Ni-Ca
I

I have not yet load mouse CD (x40 no cd-rom !!)

I use it only with its Blutooht Hub connected to x40 with USB port

x40 has Bluetooth feature and you can on with Fn+F4 and I did

but it did not see x40

if you connect Logitech Bluetooth Hub part to x40 it is working !!!!!!!!!!!!

Why mouse (charged) alone is not working over x40 Bluetooth


understand and is there anyone who is using Bluetooth with other devices?

You have to use the bluetooth base station that came with the mouse. I believe the Microsoft mice are the same way. It's a kind of crippled BT.

I’m curious about adding a bluetooth mouse for my X40 too, so did some looking about your problem. It looks like Logitech has recently worked on this exact issue.

Setpoint seems to be the name of software for Logitech’s mouse/bluetooth

It looks like if you download this software you will get an even more up to date Widcomm driver. I'm NOT SURE if this New Wicomm software 3.0.1.913 should be installed or only use the IBM software 1.4.3.4

The version of widcomm driver on my X40 now is 1.4.3.4 (Build 4 SP 0). So this version I have installed should work with the Setpoint software from Logitech

Remember to not let Microsoft Bluetooth software/drivers take over. You might not be able to prevent it, but if it does use procedure above to replace it with Widcomm drivers. I’ll write it again here.

Press Blue ACCESS IBM button…Then click view references, click use on system help, click contents, click getting connected, click wireless connections, click using bluetooth, click replacing bluetooth software… Follow procedure for “replacing Microsoft Bluetooth software with IBM Integrated Bluetooth II software.”

I imagine this info should help you somewhat.. let me know how you do…

One thing though.. I don't have this mouse.. I'm just guessing based on my previous experience with my bluetooth headset that this method will work out for you. I also would be interested in the bluetooth mouse, but also if it can be used without the charger/hub when on the road.

Following the stepls below you should be able to use your Bluetooth enabled mouse(without the hub or Dongle)

1. Turn the Bluetooth power on.
2. Click Start -> Control Panel.
3. Click Performance and Maintenance and then click System.
4. Click Hardware tab, then click Device Manager. button.
5. Double Click Bluetooth Radios.
6. Double Click IBM Integrated Bluetooth II or IBM Integrated
Bluetooth III.
7. Click Driver tab, then click Update Driver... button.
8. Select Install from a list or specific location then click Next
button.
9. Select Don't search. I will choose the driver to install, then
click Next button.
10. Select one without the Digital Signed icon, then click Next.
11. When a pop-up window appears, click Continue Anyway button.
12. Click Finish button to close window.

The steps you gave would be the same you will see when you "replace Microsoft bluetooth software with IBM integrated software." As I said above... But it really depends on what happens prior to doing this.. It didn't work for me the first time I tried it because all of the drivers were digitally signed.. Might have had to do with installing SP2... It didn't work untill I got the new software from IBM 1.4.3.4. I know this software should have been on my computer anyway, but something wasn't right and what I had there were both digitally signed.

Yes, you can use a Logitech Bluetooth mouse with the built-in Bluetooth support on your system. When you use the built-in Bluetooth support, the SetPoint software that came with your mouse will not install because it must detect the Logitech Wireless hub first. Without the SetPoint software installed, you will not be able to program the additional buttons on your mouse or use some of its additional features. Essentially, you will get basic point and click functionality and basic button support.

If you would still like to use the built-in Bluetooth support instead of the Logitech Wireless hub, first make sure that the built-in Bluetooth Stack or Software has the HID (Human Interface Device) Profile. Please check with your system vendor to verify this.

1. Turn Bluetooth On... "fn/f5"
2. Click Start, click Run, type devmgmt.msc in the Open box, and then click OK.
3 Locate the bluetooth radio or bluetooth devices.
4. If it says "bluetooth radio" it is using the Microsoft drivers and you need to change the drivers to WIDCOMM


WE WROTE IN THE PREVIOUS POSTS HOW TO DO THIS. PLEASE REREAD THE ABOVE POSTS AND TRY TO FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS PROVIDED.

Check what drivers you have FIRST, then if you need more help ask..

but some problems continue maybe you have opinion them too,


Machine not detects automatically Logitech Bluetooth Mouse You have to go My Bluetooth Places and with view device in range option machine search there is any bluetooth device or not after it found as Logitech MX900 and 2 clicks it ask Human Interface Device Yes/No window if you click yes you can use mouse (I am tired everytime same process)

ang not end if you push to button of the mouse bottom side (white connect button ) like off ,bluetooth mouse off, then push again connect button normally in the seconds built in bluetooth machine could detect automatically but not you have to do the same thinks above said with trackpoint
