X41 Battery light

#1 Post by Tortu' » Sun Apr 13, 2008 11:30 am

:?
I have a X41 Tablet, TYPE: 1867-J11. I have a problem with the battery light, below the screen on the left side. With a battery in place and the computer turned off the light stays lit. Only if I take the battery out will the light go out. I've checked to make sure I was not going crazy, by checking with couple of friends that have IBM's as well. (Another X41 owner and a T40 owner.) My question would be, can this little issue be fixed or will I have to just grin and bear it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
Jeff

If the laptop is under warranty, I would send it in. The battery light should never be on if the laptop is turned off. That is, unless you're plugged in and charging. I'm going to guess there's probably something wrong with the motherboard on your laptop.

Double check what is set in power manager as power button action, maybe it just goes asleep... It happened to me and i realized it because the battery was down to 80%...
