Wifi Drivers and SW for X40 with Win 2k

#1 Post by t20user » Tue Apr 15, 2008 1:19 pm

I put an old copy of Windows 2000 on my X40 and I loaded what looks to be the correct Wifi drivers and apps, but there is no indication on my machine that it did except that the radio LED is on.

It is a 2371-7FU and I loaded the Intel Pro-Wireless 2100 3b driver set and application. I am expecting to see something on the toolbar or in the start menu to select a wifi link. Any ideas?

Do you use Access Connections to choose your hotspot? It may need to be updated to the latest version.

Use aida32(doesn't need to be installed) to confirm that you have intel 2100 wireless card.

Instead of using access connection software from IBM/Lenovo, I prefer to use the software/driver from Intel
Intel 2100 driver:
