Just got a X41 tablet and am debating on what OS to keep on.

There is no advantage to dropping back to XP Pro. Tablet Edition is a superset of XP Pro, so you would give up features by dropping back.
The only reason I can see for doing so is if you do not use any of the tablet PC features and want to save the approximately 100 MB of disk space that they occupy.

Thanks for the tips/info. I should be receiving the recovery disks for my X41T. I just wish they would give you the option to pick and choose what pre-loaded software you could install. Life would be so much easier.

If you restore your X41T to factory state you will find the OS is crippled; Lenovo really screwed this one up big time. You need to do a clean install to fix it so restore first to factory state and then you can try my guide. A clean install will make a huge difference in performance.
