Addonics Dual IDE-CF-Adapter and Acronis True Image?

#1 Post by BachManiac » Thu May 29, 2008 12:17 am

Hi!

I have an addonics Dual IDE-CF-Adapter in my X40 with the following CF-Cards:

1. Sandisk Extreme IV 2GB
2. Transcend 133x 16GB

My problem is that my acronis true-image usb-boot-drive (usb-stick) don't recognize the second CF-card, which I need for bakup the System-Drive (sandisk).

When I change the two cards, the sandisc wouldn't be recognized, so always the "slave"-drive is bad.

Does anyone have the same dual adapter and tried bakuping?

It would be interesting if it work with another acronis-version!

I have version 11.

please help!

Hi,

when my addonics adapter shipped, there was a remark on the package that two fixed devices have compatibility issues (fixed master..?). So try to make one removable and one fixed mode...

I've got heatpipe here, i've got heatpipe there 'n' I've got heatpipe everywhere...

unfortunately this is not possible for me.

the sandisk must be fixed (System-disk)
the transcend switches automatically to fixed mode if it would be handled through an IDE controller and not a cardreader.

but i've have already another solution.

my external 3,5" HDD which I always have connected to my X40 works in acronsi true image and there I can save my images.

thanks!
