A while back, I was moaning about my the lower left area of my keyboard (specifically, the left Ctrl and Alt keys, and the left side of my space bar) creaking when the unit was cold (i.e., not fully warmed up and before significant amounts of typing had been done).
It was driving me batty. I played around with tightening and loosening the keyboard screw directly associated with that area but was getting nowhere. Finally, one day, about four weeks ago, I basically gave the screw a good turn to tighten it as much as possible and it's been fine ever since.
Posted this just in case anyone with a similar problem in the future decides to search the forums for a solution.
