x3 Ultrabase broken latch. Anyway to remove?

#1 Post by Puggy » Sat Jun 21, 2008 11:47 am

Hi. I've broken the latch used to remove the UltraBase on my X30. I need to remove it because I believe my CPU fan has stopped working and the laptop keeps turning off. I'm considering buying an x61, but in the meantime, I need to keep using this laptop.

I've looked all around the laptop, and there seems to be no other way to remove the ultrabase, without causing an injury to the laptop.

Thanks in advance.

p.s. A month ago I had a hard accident, and my T42p was in the trunk when it happened  , but I´m looking forward to the new X, and T series, and see what I'm getting at my job! Meanwhile, I´m stuck with a dell, ugh!

It worked. I used using a table/butter knife! LOL.

Thanks again.
