Hello...
My new x41'palmrest, getting hot very fast (in the middle). Do You know what can be the reasen of this situation? I wondering if I can do enythink with it.
I have set CPU voltage do 0,7V (600 Mhz) and 0,908 on 1,5Ghz - and it's does't help.

Hot Pamrest - x41
in the middle? like below the mouse buttons? on my other laptops with touchpads this part gets very warm, i think it has to do with the touchpad essentially being a large touch-sensitive resistor, but i don't get this on my x41. the only warmth on the palmrest is on the left side, where the hdd is located. maybe you're using a pcmcia card that's causing extra heat?
My X40 1.4ghz has hit max speed while watching streaming flash video. The cpu is at 77c and my room temp is 27c. The top of the laptop is a little warm. The area under the trackpoint clickie buttons is probably warmest, but it's not really all that 'warm'.
The bottom of the laptop is definitely warmer.
