the head of the screw is rounded already

and it's the screw (if you're looking at the X41's bottom with the LCD latch close to your tummy) that's on the top right hand side... so it's kinda buried deep so not easy to just dremel a notch for a flat screw driver.
i've heard of screw extractors but not sure if they'll come in a small enough size for this screw.
it's a spare x41 i have that i got from my old work - my ex boss spilled water on it and it stopped working so was classed as a write off and was replaced.
but upon inspection, i noticed that it was still working when it's docked. so i figured it was just the keyboard so i took it home.
i tried forcing the keyboard to come apart enough that i could plug in a working keyboard from my own x41 and it works! so i just need to take out this faulty keyboard and replace it and i'll have 2 x41 and both are still almost brand new!
