Undervolting/underclocking Pentium III-M X20 Series

#1 Post by denisky » Tue Aug 19, 2008 8:48 am

I have read in previous posts that it is possible to underclock/undervolt the X40 series. Then I tried RMClock on my X22 but the options were disabled. After that I read the documentation of RMClock, it said "NOTE: Intel(R) SpeedStep(tm) technology and the "old" vision of Enhanced Intel(R) SpeedStep(tm) technology found in mobile Pentium III-M and mobile Pentium 4 processors are not supported." :(

Well, is there any other software to underclock/undervolt X22?
Current:
IBM ThinkPad R51e
IBM ThinkPad X22
Past:
IBM ThinkPad T43

I might be wrong but I don't think you can undervolt by software at all. You can only underclock using the official Intel Speedstep software that you can download from the Intel site. The computer already does this though, the Intel utility just provides a better interface.
