gps on x31

#1 Post by toubib » Thu Aug 21, 2008 2:35 pm

I have a holux cf gps card which, with supplied drivers & test software, works great in the cf slot. I have a V7 Nav 730 car/portable GPS device (WinCE5) but the entire software suite is accessible on the sd card including the iGO GPS navigation running on the WinCE5 system in the ROM (and the V7 website freely distributes the software and the map/poi databases for all).

2 questions:

is there a way to run the whole thing on my x31 using the holux gps tranceiver?

what other gps nav software would be good if the former is not possible...?

You mean you want to run the Win-CE software on your laptop? What OS?
Might be possible using an emulator, but wouldn't be nice.

Do you have mobile internet? If so, google maps might work well.
I expect your CF-card looks like a serial port to your software, so anything should work - Tomtom, ...
