Did my Fingerprint Change or did SP3 Mess it Up?

All of a sudden finger print reader cannot authenticate my finger. It keeps on saying "Failed". It has been working flawlessly for so long. I just installed SP3. Could this be the problem? Anyone else with same experience?

silly me. I cleaned it up with some solvent and it's back to normal now.

So even though it doesn't look dirty, it is, and it effects fingerprinting big time!
