X41 Tablet Input Panel not working? Help?

Hi,

I just bought a used X41 tablet with no os and installed tablet xp 2005. I think I got the drivers installed right.

The problem is that, although the input pen functions with everything else, it does not respond to the text input panel. I click to bring up the soft keyboard, but nothing happens.

Yet I can surf the web, open and close programs, etc. with the pen. At first I thought the pen might be bad, so I ordered a new one, but no difference.

Is this a driver issue? Any help is appreciated.
