What's a better battery, high cycle newer or low cycle older

Both hold around the same capacity which is about 40-39Wh.

The count on one of them is 209 or so and first used in 2005-02, the other one is 45 cycles, first used 2003-08

Both Panasonic, both showing same wear levels according to NHC

Which would you choose?

I would do a battery meter reset on both, then choose whichever holds more capacity, although new would be preferable.
