what's in the future for x41s?
so what's the future going to hold for x41s? the be more specific, is there going to be an ssd expandability option? i mean true ssd and not CF cards. or is x41 a dead end in terms of storage expansion?
Hi Matt,
As others have said, CF looks like the best option for the X40/41.
Am assuming if anything better comes along, someone will post about it.
Pretec has a rugged, 32gb 333x CF card for $630.
Item# CFS332G

There is a 233X 64GB also, $400.
They have a 50gb 333X, and a 100GB 233X coming out later this year.
I could work with 32GB, but would prefer the 50GB.
When they come down in price.
Till then, I slog along at 4200RPM...
Good health, Weogo

By the time SSDs become affordable, X60 machines will become even more affordable, so the future of X40/41 is quite dim IMHO...which is a shame because they are light and quite pretty...
