IBM 11a/b/g for X40 - Beware (fixed)

#1 Post by OnlyThinkpad » Tue Jan 11, 2005 1:08 am

Beware! Bought an IBM 11a/b/g adapter II from IBM website. When installed, it gives me the 1802 error message. According to the website, it clearly states the adapter works on the X40 but it doesn't.

Wil call IBM shortly to find out what's going on.

Problem fixed. Apparantly, the card does not work with older versions of the bios ( v.1.22). After the upgrade it works fine.

What's interesting is if the 1802 hack is part of the new bios?? Hm....:-)
