Trying to update Access Connections, which requires updated power management driver. Then I noticed the existence of Power Manager. (It's been out for a while, sometimes I'm slow.) But I noticed that X40 is strangely not listed:
http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... MIGR-62935
(Near the bottom, "Affected configurations") X40 support is never listed, however the newest (as of writing 1.51a) lists X40 support.
Typo?
PS Interested in your comments about whether it works better than Battery MaxiMiser 1.38. Curious to see if "power management driver" without the actual Manager, creates a conflict with MaxiMiser ...
Power Manager on x40? Lenovo typo?

It should work. T42, R51 were not listed and worked fine. It doesn't work on much older platforms such as X20. It will uninstall the Battery Maximizer.

Re: Power Manager on x40? Lenovo typo?
thanks.
There was another post saying that 1.41 caused trouble on the X40 but that an earlier version was OK. So far Battery MaxiMiser has not reported any conflict with the "power management driver" (note, not "power manager") so ... guess I'll poke around to see if/any improvements are granted before switching..
