That's a very nice X32, judging by specs...I'd say this:

at $275 or less shipped, it's a steal.

at $325 it's an OK deal.

at more than that, start looking at X60 units...

My $0.02 only...

Thanks dude, I thought that $400 + shipping was going to be a good deal.

You saved me from paying too much.

I really appreciate it.

for what ever reason, the X32 seems to sell for relatively more than the X60. I don't really get that.
Frankenpad X31.5 (X31 casing, X32 motherboard) 1.8ghz Pentium M processor, 1gb RAM,
60gb HDD dual booting Arch GNU/Linux && Windows XP

X32 is a fairly rare machine where X60 is not...

However, great deals can be had for patient people....as always...

As much as I'd fancy the idea of owning a X32 (one of the very few ThinkPads that I was interested in, but never had as my own), if I needed a 12" unit in today's day and age, X60 would be my weapon of choice...

I was lucky enough to find an X32 cheap on ebay... bought it on Boxing Day, so I guess eveyone else was eating Christmas leftovers rather than shopping on ebay! A couple of pointers from mebased on my experience:
*If it's listed with 1GB RAM, make sure it's a single stick of ram, and not 2 x 512mb
*Check the RAM type. Mine came with PC2100, but the X32 apparently runs faster with PC2700 (I'm going to have to invest in an upgrade now I know!).
*Suggest you look at what parts are cheap that you could fit yourself - rather than buying a fully loaded laptop, you might find something cheaper hat you could upgrade yourself (and sell the lower spec parts back on ebay!).
Happy shopping. X32 is a great laptop!

Would mind putting up how much you paid and what were your specs and what type of cosmetic condition the laptop was?

It would help get a better idea of what the market is currently.

Thanks

Yeah, I was pretty chuffed! Only downers were that the ram was PC2100 instead of pc2700, so I'm having to replace that, and the dock/port replicater had the very old type power supply, so the power supply can't be used as a spare for the laptop. But hey, I'm not complaining!

Am still in shock and had to post this... I saw a refurbished Thinkpad X32, (fairly low spec'ed, 512mb ram) on sale for £795 in a computer store on Tottenham Court Road! Yes, that's seven hundred and ninety five pounds sterling! Feel sorry for the sucker who pays out that!
