Wireless light not illuminating
X31 - wireless works fine, but light doesn't illuminate

Re: Wireless light not illuminating
I have a very different model and different OS from yours, so I´m not really sure if my experience is somehow related to your problem: Under Vista x64 I was never able to make the wifi light illuminate with an Atheros abg wifi card even though the card was able to establish connections without problem. So, you may try another version of the driver for your wifi card (for example, look if there are some driver updates available for your model).dwilsonfl wrote:X31 - wireless works fine, but light doesn't illuminate
Hope this helps

Re: Wireless light not illuminating
maybe someone used the Thinkpad wireless hack/bootdisk in the past (if you got it used). I don't know if the making the wireless light not work effect is reversible.

I need to take a look at the card. It was a weird name IIRC.

Re: Wireless light not illuminating
that would make sense. only the name-brand cards work in the X31.

Re: Wireless light not illuminating
It says Inprocomm on the chip. USI BM6621R4 on the circuit board. Just put a 2100 in and Win 7 couldn't find the drivers, then crashed...
